Get Your Estate Planning Firm Found on Google and
Recommended by AI

Your traffic chart and your calendar may have stopped agreeing. AI now answers the questions that used to send clicks: what a revocable trust is, whether you need a will, how probate works. The person who has decided to hire a lawyer still searches, still clicks, and still calls.

That split is why estate planning marketing looks different than it did in 2023. The work belongs on the layer that survived: named by AI when someone asks, ranked when they search, and on the map when they are ready to call an office they can drive to.

One client of ours in New Jersey watched its sessions fall by two thirds from a 2023 peak. In that same month, its owner told us it had been the firm’s best month ever. Start with the in-depth analysis and see which of your searches are still working.

Estate Planning and Real Estate Attorney

I have been working with Viktoria to help me with my website and SEO. Little did I know that not only does she have extensive experience in these areas but she is so well versed in other aspects of internet tools to increase awareness of my firm and brand. She is a complete package if you need to increase traffic to you, increase leads and sales. I highly recommend her!

Why Estate Planning Marketing Is Different

Which Searches Survived

“What is a revocable trust” is now an AI answer. “Trust attorney near me” is still a click and still a call. Estate planning lost more of its informational traffic than most practice areas, because its early questions are the ones AI answers best. What remains is the commercial layer, and that is where the work belongs.

The Decision Takes Years

A will is never urgent until it is. The cycle runs through long pauses, and when it ends the client usually returns to a firm she found months earlier. Visibility that runs for a quarter and stops will have expired before she decides.

Two Clients, Opposite Clocks

One is planning ahead and will take two years. The other has a parent entering a nursing home next month. Same practice, opposite urgency, one site serving both.

How BSPE Markets Estate Planning Firms

Six channels working together to turn searches into signed cases.

Estate Planning SEO

Trusts, asset protection, Medicaid and long-term care planning, probate, special needs, powers of attorney, each on its own page, weighted toward the searches people run once they have stopped browsing and started choosing. Those are the searches that survived the shift, and they are where the program concentrates.

AI Visibility / GEO

People rarely type two words into ChatGPT. They describe the situation: a second marriage, a child with special needs, a parent whose memory is slipping. The tool answers by naming a firm whose site covers those exact circumstances in detail. That depth also earns Google rankings, so the work overlaps and we say so upfront: consistent entity data, matching NAP everywhere, schema alignment, answer-ready pages. Tracked monthly with screenshots.

Google Business Profile

These clients want an office they can drive to, and they call straight from the map. Categories, review velocity, owner responses, photos, posts. Your strongest results come from searches near your office, and wider reach comes from review volume and organic rankings. For multi-office firms, each location is tracked separately so you can see which geography converts.

Topic Clusters, In Your Voice

Depth is what gets ranked and what gets quoted, and depth takes a cluster: the core service page plus supporting articles on the circumstances people actually describe. For one New York client that was 19 new pages and articles alongside 12 rewrites. One topic owned properly, then the next. Written from interviews with you, reviewed by a person.

Practice Area Coverage, In Sequence

Wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, Medicaid and long-term care planning, powers of attorney, estate taxes, probate and administration, special needs. Each becomes its own cluster when its turn comes, and you decide the order based on the matters you want in the door.

Google Ads When the Math Works

We start with your average matter value, your signed rate, and the cost per signed client your market supports. Estate planning clicks cost a fraction of injury clicks, so the arithmetic works more often here. When organic and maps come first, we tell you that instead.

ESTATE PLANNING CLIENT · NEW JERSEY · SINCE OCTOBER 2021

An established practice with a long operating history and, in the owner’s description, virtually no online presence. We started from one benchmark, 65 profile calls in October 2021, then built out estate planning, probate, trust, special needs, elder law, and location pages across four Google Business Profiles. By April 2022 the firm was weighing internally whether a $1,700 per month paid traffic program was still necessary.

Traffic peaked at 9,244 monthly sessions in 2023 and 5,630 monthly clicks in 2025. By June 2026 it sat at 2,797 sessions and 1,694 clicks. We publish that decline because it is the point. Two weeks after those figures were recorded, the owner opened our call with this:

“June was great. June was our best month ever.”

Owner, estate planning client, New Jersey

The browsing went elsewhere. The people who had decided to hire someone stayed.

Note: Calls from the firm’s own Google Business Profile records, traffic from its Google Analytics 4, clicks from its Search Console, each window dated in the full case study. “Best month ever” is the owner’s own characterization of June 2026, quoted as she said it; she did not specify which measure she meant and we do not assign one. The explanation above is the reading that best fits the pattern rather than a confirmed finding, and search is one channel inside a working practice. Every market and starting position behaves differently, and results vary accordingly. Published with the client’s permission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ChatGPT taking traffic away from my website?

Yes, and more of it here than in most practice areas, because “do I need a will” is exactly what AI answers well. It takes the browsing. What remains is the person deciding who to hire, and that person increasingly asks AI for a name first. Your analysis shows today’s answer for your market, with screenshots.

Expect 5 to 9 months for page-one movement in mid-size markets, with map gains earlier. One estate planning client of ours in New York reached the top three on 25 of 26 tracked local searches over ten months. Your analysis gives you a market-specific timeline.

It depends on your market’s size and competition, so the figure arrives with your analysis as an exact, itemized number. Month to month, with a candid read on whether that spend matches your caseload goals.

On price they win, and the client who wants the cheapest document was never going to call you. Everyone else has a second marriage, a business interest, a child who needs a trust, or a parent heading toward long-term care, and they search for someone who has handled exactly that. Depth on those situations wins the search result and the AI answer alike.

That is the argument for it. When someone finally acts, they tend to return to a firm they found months earlier, so the firm that stayed visible through the pauses gets the call. Others are ready today. One client’s Google Business Profile produced 399 calls in five months.
